2014 Conference

2014 Conference

Organized by a tiny staff that included Sandy Crowell, Don Harkcom, Micheal Hurley and Kyle Pratt, and with the enthusiastic direction of Julie McDonald Zander, the first annual Southwest Washington Writers Conference convened at Centralia College on September 13, 2014.

The keynote speaker for the first conference was New York Times bestselling author Robert Dugoni. Twelve workshops were hosted that day by such notables as the Washington State poet laureate Elizabeth Austin, book editor Mike Silva, children’s writer and illustrator Jeannie St. John, romance writer Melanie Dobson, and marketing expert Veronika Noize.
